Around 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems passed over the state, producing powerful gusts topping 109 kilometers per hour.
Substantial Hailstones and Widespread Destruction
Locals witnessed substantial frozen pellets measuring up to seven centimeters in certain regions. Weather authorities announced that various areas across the state had been impacted by large hailstones.

Utility workers were attempting to repair power throughout the affected regions, with nearly 70 crews activated to handle the numerous electricity disruptions.
Victoria's Climate Difficulties
At the same time, approximately one thousand energy customers in the southern state also faced electricity disruptions after Melbourne experienced its heaviest rainfall in a year and a half.
Emergency response teams responded to over five hundred emergency reports across the area, mostly for structural issues but also for downed trees and inundation.

Public health experts alerted that there was an greater possibility of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
